Beard was always behind in his match with the Mongolian

Redruth's Mick Beard has seen his Paralympic dreams end in the last 16 of the recurve archery on Thursday.

Beard went down 104-91 to Mongolia's sixth seed Baatarjav Dambadondog.

Dambadondog was ahead in the match from the first arrow and never looked like relinquishing his lead as he outscored Beard in every end.

Beard only won through to the match after his opponent in the previous round shot an extra arrow in his final end and had his best score taken away.
