Guernsey's players are preparing for next month's Muratti

Guernsey kicked off their preparations for next month's Muratti by drawing 2-2 with the British Universities team.

Joby Bourgaize and Ross Allen got the goals for the islanders.

Greens boss Steve Ogier told BBC Radio Guernsey: "There are some players in the squad who are under contract or are semi-pro so the standard was good."

Ogier's aim is to ensure his side play against high-quality opposition before the match with Channel Islands rivals Jersey on 5 May.
