The leagues will feature demotion and promotion in the new format

Social leagues in Guernsey might go their own way from the Guernsey Football Association leagues if players are restricted to playing for one club.

The proposed GFA structure would enable business and sunday soccer league teams to gain promotion and play alongside Priaulx League teams.

But players would be prevented from registering for a GFA team and a social side, as many do now.

IAG Business League president Rod Hamon said many players were "not happy".
