Moxey (left) hopes to keep his place in the England C squad (Pinnacle/FA) |
Exeter City midfielder Dean Moxey played a full game for the England C team in their 2-1 win over Wales at St James' Park on Wednesday. Stevenage Borough's Mitchell Cole gave England the lead on 39 minutes, but the Welsh hit back four minutes into the second half through Alex Lawless.
Cambridge United's Michael Morrison then headed the winner a minute later.
"It was not my best game but it's good to get three points," Moxey told BBC Radio Devon after winning a second cap.
And Moxey hopes he will be included in the squad for players from outside the Football League which travels to Italy for the decisive match in the International Challenge Trophy.
"I was on the short list last time. Hopefully I've done enough tonight to warrant a place," he said.

While England boss Paul Fairclough thought his side could have performed better, he was pleased with the result.
"We've played so well over the last few months and in fact the whole year and we're going to get blips every now and then in terms of performance.
"But it's important that when you do get those blips you still win," he said.
"It puts us in a great position to go over to Italy in November and try and win the group over there."
England have already beaten Finland 2-0 in the International Challenge Trophy and a win against the Italians will ensure they top the group with a 100% record.
