Dean Moxey training with England 'C' ahead of the Wales match (Pinnacle/FA) |
Exeter City midfielder Dean Moxey has begun training with England ahead of their 'C' international with Wales on Wednesday night. Moxey is part of a 16-man England squad drawn from players at clubs in the Blue Square Premier, Conference North and the Ryman League.
The match, at Exeter's St James Park, is part of the International Challenge Trophy, a new event for the 'C' team.
In November England beat Finland 2-0 in the first match of the tournament.
England's C team, the new name for the old National Game XI and semi-pro side, has had great success in the season.
In 2006-07 they won all their games. They took the European Challenge Trophy by beating the likes of Belgium, Italy and Holland.
They also won the Four Nations Tournament against Wales, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.
