The game has been planned for Coleraine Showgrounds on 14 July when a host of Northern Ireland internationals will play the present Everton first team.

"We are hoping to stage the match at Coleraine Showgrounds if the venue is available to us," said Milk Cup tournament chairman Victor Leonard.

"David Moyes has assured us he'll bring over as strong a side as possible."

"He has always been a firm supporter of the event and his father has been a regular visitor at the Milk Cup for many years.

"He has encouraged Everton's participation in the competition and also helped make the draw for us, together with Wayne Rooney, four years ago."

The IFA has been working overtime to contact Northern Ireland internationals, most of whom have played in the tournament.

The Northern Ireland team will be coached by Roy Millar, boss of the Northern Ireland U21s.

"There are very few of the current international squad who have not played at the Milk Cup at county, club or international level and while many will be back at their clubs preparing for the new season, we are hopeful of a good response," added Leonard.

"Individually, several players have expressed a wish to take part but at the end of the day it is very much down to their clubs to release them and so far we have been encouraged at the response.

"We want this game to be a special celebration for everyone as we continue our 25th anniversary year programme in the run-up to the tournament at the end of July."

The game will have a 1600 BST kick-off.
