Former Brazil star Branco has pulled off another masterstroke for the Milk Cup tournament. The former national co-ordinator for youth football has helped ensure that Brazilian brilliance and Argentinean artistry will be on show this summer.
Branco, who coached Brazils's U20s at the Elite competition in 2004 and 2005, is general manager at Fluminense.
Fluminense, based in Rio de Janeiro and Argentinean giants River Plate will both compete in the Premier section.
Chelsea will join the Argentines in the Junior event.
Former Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock, who stepped down from the post just hours after helping organisers make the draw for both age groups at a special silver anniversary dinner on Tuesday, admitted he had no idea the standard was so high.
He said: "We have sent teams to the Milk Cup in recent years and I knew that it had established an impressive reputation over the years but seeing the calibre of the clubs coming here this summer is simply mind blowing."
Northern Ireland international Jonny Evans also assisted with the draw and expressed the hope that his club, Manchester United, would repeat previous successes in the Premier competition, in which he played two years ago.
"There are very few people at Old Trafford who haven't heard of the Milk Cup and I know our manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, is a huge fan," he said.
"It was a fantastic experience for me and I wish everyone involved a successful 25th anniversary."
The Elite and Premier Finals on 1 August will be televised on BBC2NI on the digital platform enabling viewers throughout the UK and Ireland to see the games.
These two matches will also be available to viewers worldwide by means of a webcast on www.bbc.co.uk/milkcup
