Coleraine winger Stephen Carson is set to remain at the Showgrounds |
Coleraine star Stephen Carson is set to remain at the club after his contract runs out at the end of the season. Bannsiders boss Marty Quinn is set to open negotiations with the winger.
"I am very happy here and I have been impressed with how the club is progressing," said Carson.
Quinn has released defender Tony Gray but is chasing Limavady United pair Davy Patton and Gareth Campbell and Cliftonville striker Nathan McConnell.
Former Omagh Town, Limavady and Institute player Gray played 13 times for Coleraine after joining the club at the beginning of the season.
Carson has been in outstanding form this season and keeping him would be a massive boost for the Bannsiders.
"Obviously I would be very keen to extend my spell here at the Showgrounds," he added.
"I have not had a chance to sit down with Marty yet as we have been concentrating on the games.
"But hopefully we can get it sorted out over the next few weeks and start thinking about the future of the club.
"We have to make sure that we keep the level of performance that we had in the games with Newry and Linfield going until the end of the season and extend our cup run as well as maintaining our place in the Premier League."
