England's women thrashed New Zealand by nine wickets to claim victory in their one-day international series after taking an unassailable 3-1 lead. A superb bowling display restricted the Kiwis to just 136-9 from 50 overs. Katherine Brunt took three wickets, Jenny Gunn and Holly Colvin claimed two apiece while Isa Guha conceded only 11 runs from her 10 overs in Barnsley. Claire Taylor (51 not out) and Sarah Taylor (49 not out) steered England home with 23 balls to spare. The two Taylors came together after the dismissal of Heather Knight for 18 in the 18th over and put on an unbroken stand of 98. Claire Taylor's half-century came off 92 balls with six fours and a six, but it was left to Sarah Taylor to complete the rout with a four off Suzie Bates. "It was great batting with Claire Taylor, she kept me going," said namesake Sarah. "The Kiwis bowled well, but we were patient and the runs just came." The fifth and final one-day international is at Lord's on Tuesday.
