Gibbs has played in 90 Tests and 248 one-day internationals for South Africa

Herschelle Gibbs's autobiography faces legal scrutiny, South African cricket's governing body has revealed.

The book, To the Point, contains details about drinking, drugs and sexual capers during Gibbs's 14 years with the South African team.

Gibbs, 36, who called captain Graeme Smith "simply too powerful", is still contracted to Cricket South Africa.

CSA has said its legal counsel will "look into the matter" before deciding whether to proceed further.
