Scott will play his last game for Worcestershire at Headingley |
Worcestershire will lose the services of on-loan wicketkeeper Ben Scott following his recall by Middlesex. Scott will leave New Road on 23 June, with teenager Ben Cox expected to take over after his studies. Scott averaged more than 30 with the bat, taking 31 dismissals behind the stumps for Worcestershire. Chief executive Mark Newton told BBC Hereford and Worcester; "Ben has performed really well and I know he has enjoyed his time with us." He added: "The club would like to thank both Ben and Middlesex for their help with this loan arrangement. "Ben has appreciated the opportunity to play regular first-team cricket, but Middlesex want him back for the latter part of their FP t20 campaign. "By the time he goes, Ben Cox will have finished his exams and be available to take up his full-time professional contract with the club."
