Worcestershire wicketkeeper Steven Davies says he will give everything for the club before he leaves to join Surrey next season.
During a fans forum this week some supporters called for him to be dropped from the side prior to his exit.
But Davies told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "Leaving was not an easy decision for me to make.
"I will give everything until the end of the season. Until I leave I am Worcester 100%."
Despite the criticism from some fans Davies, who scored 76 against Nottinghamshire this week, said: "There is no bad feeling from my side.
"I have worked with Bumpy (coach Steve Rhodes) since I was 11 so it is hard parting ways like this."
More than 300 fans attended the forum to discuss a disappointing season for Worcestershire who are rooted to the bottom of the LV County Championship Division One.
Chief executive Mark Newton said: "The times are changing in cricket, the requirement to be successful all the time has been in football and rugby but is now creeping into cricket.
"But we think we are not that bad a county, we are having a bad season but that does not make us a bad club."
