Goodwin scored over 2,000 runs in all competitions this year |
Sussex batsman Murray Goodwin has signed a new contract and will stay with the county until the end of the 2012 season. The 37-year-old Zimbabwean averaged over 50 runs as Sussex won the County Championship Division Two title. "I am really pleased to be continuing my cricket here at Sussex and hopefully we can look forward to more success," said Goodwin. "We will be looking to challenge on all fronts again next season." Club captain Michael Yardy added: "He is an integral part of our side and his form this summer was excellent. "Hopefully he can continue this as we look to push on next season."
