Rory Hamilton-Brown has agreed a new two-year deal and Chris Nash a one-year contract extension with Sussex.

Batsman Nash, 25, finished as the county's third-highest run scorer in the Championship last season with 980 runs, including two centuries.

And off-spinner Hamilton-Brown, 21, has been rewarded for a promising first season with the county in which he became a regular in the one-day side.

"This is great news for the club," said cricket manager Mark Robinson.

"And it is further evidence of our young and promising players dedicating their futures to Sussex."

Nash was awarded his county cap following the final match of the season against Yorkshire and finished the Championship campaign with a batting average of 37.69.

Hamilton-Brown played 10 Twenty20 matches, nine one-day games and made two Championship appearances in his debut campaign.

He averaged 28.28 with the ball in one-day cricket, 29.75 in the Twenty20 Cup and hit 62 with the bat on his Championship debut against Durham in May.
