Off-spinner Ollie Rayner has signed a new two-year contract with Sussex.

Rayner, 22, was the county's third leading wicket-taker in the County Championship with 31 wickets, and a first-class bowling average of 33.61.

Cricket manager Mark Robinson said: "We're delighted that Ollie has agreed to see his immediate future with us after such a promising season.

"Ollie's one of our own and now has the opportunity to further cement his place in the team."

Rayner was recently named in the 15-man England Performance Squad to tour India in November and December.

The EPS also provides cover for injuries for the two-Test series in India in December.
