We're not counting our chickens, says Alfonso Thomas |
Somerset have set their sights firmly on a home FP t20 quarter-final tie, according to in-form pace bowler Alfonso Thomas. The 33-year-old South African believes that rival counties would not relish a trip to Taunton. "We're not counting our chickens," Thomas told BBC Somerset. "But if we can get in the top two for a home quarter-final, I can't see teams who finish third and fourth in the North Group wanting to come here." Added Thomas: "There are a lot of counties who will fear us here [at Taunton], playing in front of 7,000 people." Somerset, who currently lie third in the South Group, notched their fourth successive t20 win as they beat Glamorgan by six wickets in Taunton. Their next fixture is against Surrey at The Brit Oval on Friday.
