Newell's side are third in the County Championship table |
Nottinghamshire director of cricket Mick Newell says both David Hussey and Adam Voges are in contention to be the club's overseas player next season. Hussey has just completed a five-week stint at Trent Bridge as cover for Voges who was away with Australia A. Newell told BBC Radio Nottingham: "David's played four full years for us and a short period now, and he's very much in our thoughts for next year. "As is Adam Voges, I've had a chat with David and I'll have chat with Adam." This season Hussey has scored 407 runs in three first-class matches at an average of 81, including two centuries. Voges notched 480 runs in five matches before leaving to tour with Australia A. Despite not scoring a century, he made five fifties with his highest score being 99. Newell added: "We'll start to think about overseas players towards the end of the season and make a decision then."
