Brown has smashed two consecutive Twenty20 half centuries
Nottinghamshire batsman Ali Brown says both he and the team are finding their form in this season's Twenty20 Cup.
Despite a poor start Notts have won their last two games and if they win their next two, they have an outside chance of reaching the quarter-finals.
Brown told BBC Radio Nottingham: "We could have done with playing a game less in the first week because we look a different side now.
"Playing at home we are better - we just turned up a bit slow."
Despite Wednesday's emphatic win over local rivals Leicestershire, Notts are still second bottom of the North Division and are relying on a complicated set of results going their way if they are to make the quarter-finals.
"In the first week there were a few of us who weren't scoring runs," he said.
"So you go into the next game trying to impress too much, trying to hit the ball too hard instead of letting the ball come to you.
"Luckily we've had two weeks where we've had a couple of Championship games and I've got a 64 and a 140 and form-wise I've felt a lot better.
"In the first week I was trying to be too explosive too early.
"I'm now striking the ball as I wanted to and it was nice to come back and score a few runs here at Trent Bridge."
