England's Ryan Sidebottom is now set to line up against Ireland in Dublin |
Nottinghamshire will have fast bowler Ryan Sidebottom available for Saturday's Friends Provident Trophy match against Ireland in Dublin. Sidebottom was part of the 13-man squad for this week's second Test against the West Indies, but was released after England named an unchanged side. Notts director of cricket Mick Newell said: "They want him to play against Ireland and then join the squad. "But Saturday could be the last game Ryan plays for us for a while." Nottinghamshire, who have won three and lost two in Group A, now need to win all three of their remaining matches to guarantee a place in the quarter-finals. After Saturday's match with Ireland, Notts go to Leicester on Tuesday and then host Hampshire on Wednesday. "It's a three day trip for a one-day game," added Newell, "so you have to make sure on the day of the game you're ready to go. "The most important thing is to go there and win. If we play like we did at Trent Bridge then we should be OK. "The attitude is important. We don't assume anything, we just make sure we go over there and play properly."
