McAslan captained Panthers to Challenge Cup success in 2008 |
Nottingham Panthers coach Corey Neilson believes forward Sean McAslan will be an even better player following his year in Denmark. The forward, who twice scored 40 goals for the Panthers in his first stint, is returning to the National Ice Centre. Neilson told BBC Radio Nottingham: "He's easily one of the top players in this league. "Going away to Denmark with that skill level, he's going to come back an even better player." McAslan won the play-offs with the Panthers in 2007 and captained the club to Challenge Cup success in 2008. Neilson added: "He's a winner and you can always see it in his eyes when he's on the ice that he's always on the point of bubbling over. "He wants his way, he wants to score, he wants to win, and that's the kind of player we want on our team. "The plan is to get him with a couple of good players that move the puck around and get him the puck to pull the trigger. "As he's shown in the past he's a great trigger man and he can find the back of the net."
