McAslan captained Panthers to Challenge Cup success in 2008
Nottingham Panthers have re-signed their former winger and captain Sean McAslan on a one-year deal.
The 29-year-old spent two years in Nottingham between 2006-08 before playing last season in Denmark.
In his time at the Panthers he captained them to Challenge Cup success with a two-legged win over Sheffield.
McAslan told BBC Radio Nottingham: "It didn't take much convincing to come back. They put a great offer on the table and it was an easy choice."
As captain he was a key figure in the 2008 Challenge Cup success against the Steelers, scoring two goals in the first leg. He also scored 40 goals in both seasons he was at the club.
Coach Corey Neilson added: "Sean's a unique personality and is one of those guys that can accomplish a lot.
"He can go out and score, he can hit people, and you saw at times he could go out and fight."
