Nottinghamshire fast bowler Andy Carter has signed a 12-month professional deal with the club.

The 19-year-old has impressed club officials after joining Trent Bridge on trial from Lincolnshire last season.

He told the club website: "I want to produce good performances for the second team and force my way into contention for the first team.

"Having the security of a 12 month contract will allow me to concentrate on improving my game."
