Lincolnshire pace bowler Andy Carter has been awarded a three-month contract with Nottinghamshire for the start of the new season. The 19-year-old impressed on a winter tour to South Africa with Notts. Lincolnshire director of cricket Mark Fell told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It's a great thing for him and the county. "We could lose him which will make us weaker but if he's not playing in Notts' first team, he will still be available for us which is good." He added: "That's what we are there for when all is said and done, to hopefully be a stepping stone for the lads to get on the first class scene."
