Read finished 74 not out in Notts' first innings |
Nottinghamshire captain Chris Read says he is hoping to be back on the field soon, despite dislocating his thumb against Somerset on Thursday. Bilal Shafayat took over behind the stumps, with Somerset closing on 114-0 in their second innings - still 10 runs behind Notts. Read told BBC Radio Nottingham that X-rays showed no serious damage. "Fingers crossed once the swelling goes down and movement returns I'll be back on the field," he said.
