Striker Paul Hayes struck twice in stoppage time to snatch victory for Scunthorpe against Notts County in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round.

County looked set to go through after midfielder Richard Butcher's volley put them ahead on nine minutes.

Scunthorpe dominated the game but were stunned when Hayes headed an equaliser at the far post in stoppage time from his side's 16th corner of the game.

And two minutes later he hit the winner with another close-range header.
