Northants chief executive Mark Tagg has urged the authorities to make major changes to the format of English cricket's domestic Twenty20 tournament. Northants have played 17 matches this season - including a quarter-final - with the fixtures scheduled at various times on different days. Tagg wants to see the competition extended between May to August with games played on Friday evenings. "In my view that would be perfect," he told BBC Radio Northampton. "It would give supporters an opportunity to enjoy a regular dose of Twenty20. "We know that Northampton is a massive sporting town and people look forward to their fortnightly fix of football or rugby during the winter. "They could then follow it with a home T20 game every other Friday in the summer," he added.
