Middlebrook and Daggett have impressed head coach David Capel |
Northants spinner James Middlebrook and seamer Lee Daggett have agreed deals to keep them at the club until the end of the 2012 campaign. Middlebrook, 32, joined Northants from Essex at the start of this season. Daggett, 27, arrived at the County Ground in 2008 following his release from Warwickshire. Both have been regulars in David Capel's side this year, with Middlebrook excelling in Twenty20s and Daggett impressing in 40-over matches. Capel told the club website: "James has settled in gradually over the summer as a senior player coming in from a long-term stint at Essex. "He has bowled well for us, especially in the Twenty20s, and will have an important role to play in the Championship for the rest of the season. "Lee has done well since he joined us. It's pleasing to see the progress he has made and more so that he's decided to sign for another two years. It's good news for player and club."
