Northants batsman David Sales does not need a knee operation and is set to feature in the club's build-up to the new season. Sales, 31, injured himself in training last month, but a specialist has decided that surgery is not required. "The knee is stable and we are exactly where we want to be in the recovery process," physio Barry Goudriaan told the club's website. "By the end of February he will be ready to train fully," he added.
