Leicestershire coach Tim Boon wants his side to take more responsibility following defeat to Derbyshire in their opening FP t20 match.
Boon's side were beaten by 11 runs at Grace Road on Wednesday in the first of their 16 group games.
He told BBC Radio Leicester: "It's just player responsibility. When they walk over the line they will have rehearsed what they are going to do.
"The boys have their own routines to deal with whatever comes at them."
Leicestershire's next match in the shortest form of the game is on Tuesday, 8 June at Northampton, before a trip to Lancashire the following Friday.
"We're going to stick to our basic principles in one-day cricket and that's about playing well under pressure, and doing what we do well, each and every individual," added Boon.
"If we play well under pressure and stick to those principles we'll do well. I'm confident that the side we have at the moment is as good as any I've had here since 2006."
