Watkinson's squad have 21 non-playing days in two months

Lancashire cricket manager Mike Watkinson has warned his players to be aware of a hectic fixture list during the season's shakedown.

The former England all-rounder told BBC Radio Manchester: "Look at our fixtures through August and into September, it really is rammed with cricket.

"You look for a day off and we'll be on a bus somewhere travelling between Sussex and Canterbury or wherever.

"It really is a busy, busy time when all the lads will earn their corn."
