Farbrace took over from Graham Ford as coach for the 2010 season

Kent coach Paul Farbrace believes his side can still keep their Division One status in the County Championship.

To stay up they have to beat title contenders Yorkshire this week and hope Hampshire can overcome Warwickshire.

"People have written us off, and expect us to just turn over and get beaten," Farbrace told BBC Radio Kent.

"I sincerely hope that doesn't happen but I can assure you we're not there just to roll over and die - we're going there to put in a performance."

He added: "If it's a good enough performance so be it, if not then league tables don't lie at the end of the season do they?"
