Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler demands consistency
Hessenthaler's target is to take the Gills back to League One.
Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler has said their first win of the season will mean nothing unless they follow it up with another victory on Saturday.
Speaking after their 2-0 success over Shrewsbury he told BBC Radio Kent: "For all our good work if we go to Bradford and lose then that's no good to us.
"We really need to get a run of consistent results and we'll start creeping up the table."
It is now 30 games since the Gills last won away from Priestfield.
Striker Cody McDonald believes they can end their 16-month wait for an away victory because the mood in the squad has lifted.
"We'll push on from this I know we will because there are some strong players in there, some good players as well and we'll go into the Bradford game with confidence now," he said.
"A few words were said between the players and the manager last week.
"We went out there with the same attitude to be fair but things have just gone for us that haven't in the past."
