Ireland eased to a comfortable nine-wicket victory over the Netherlands in Dublin to complete a 2-0 series win. The Dutch chose to bat first but were bowled out for 125 off 47.2 overs, Pieter Seelaar top-scoring with 34. John Mooney took 2-16, Trent Johnston 2-19, Nigel Jones 2-20 and Andrew White and Albert van der Merwe a wicket each. Ireland replied with 129-1 off 20.3 overs, Paul Stirling contributing 62 off just 36 balls and opening partner Gary Wilson 48 not out off 53 balls. Tom Cooper was the next best scorer for the Netherlands, who had two of their players run out. The Dutch lost three wickets in quick succession, falling from 40-2 to 40-5 within the space of an over. Stirling's quick-fire 62 included five sixes and six fours and Wilson struck one six and six fours in his innings. The pair put on an opening partnership of 85 before Stirling was out lbw to Maurits Jonkman. Alex Cusack was 15 not out at the close of the innings. Ireland had won by 70 runs in the first meeting between the sides on Monday.
