Ireland beat the Netherlands by 70 runs in the first of two one-day matches between the sides in Dublin. Ireland were put in to bat and made 275-6 off their 50 overs, Gary Wilson top-scoring with 113 off 147 balls, his first-ever century for Ireland. The Netherlands were 205 all out off 45.1 overs in reply, with Tom Cooper posting their best score with 68. Andrew White claimed 4-55, Kevin O'Brien 3-18, Albert van der Merwe 2-31 and George Dockrell 1-31. Wilson's innings included 10 fours. Alex Cusack contributed 45 for Ireland, supported by Paul Stirling who hit 40. Wilson and Stirling put on 82 for the first wicket, before Wilson and Cusack enjoyed a partnership of 118 for the second wicket. The sides meet again at Clontarf on Wednesday. Monday's victory leapfrogs the Irish above Zimbabwe into 10th spot in the world one-day rankings.
