Dawson won the County Championship with Yorkshire in 2001 |
Gloucestershire have appointed their current spinner Richard Dawson as the club's new spin bowling coach. The ex-England bowler, 30, who also played for Yorkshire and Northants, will take up the role on 1 November. Dawson said: "I am excited about this opportunity of coaching the county's spin bowlers and look forward to the challenge over the next year." Executive board member Jack Russell added: "Richard is a great acquisition to the coaching staff." Dawson will still be available to play for Gloucestershire but his primary focus will be on coaching. "His experience and knowledge at both county and international level will be extremely valuable to developing our players," added Russell.
