Richardson not expecting a decision until final FPT group match
Gloucestershire's success in the Friends Provident Trophy could throw up a fixture clash with England.
The county are top of their group and a home quarter-final on Saturday, 23 May is on the cards if they stay there.
But that potential game would be in doubt as England play West Indies in Bristol the following day and both sides will be "netting" at the ground.
"If we were top then the boys would have earned the right to play at home," said chief executive Tom Richardson.
"Our supporters want to be at home so we would push very hard for that.
"But it won't be easy for the Eangland and Wales Cricket Board because June is really stuck with all sorts of cricket.
"Ideally, you'd want to play it at the weekend as that would maximise our supporters being able to come along but we'll have to try and fit in where we can."
Gloucestershire have three more group matches to play, the last being away to Durham on Wednesday, 20 May.
