Snell scored his first Gloucestershire century earlier this summer |
Gloucestershire wicketkeeper Steve Snell has signed a new three-year contract to stay at Nevil Road. Snell, 25, has dislodged Steve Adshead from the county's Championship side this season and is also joint second-highest run scorer behind Marcus North. Team mentor Jack Russell said Snell deserved an extension to his deal. "He has performed to a high standard with both the gloves and bat. If he continues to work hard at his game, the world is his oyster," said Russell. Snell said he was happy to commit his future to Gloucestershire. "I am very much looking forward to John Bracewell's input as coach," said Snell. "I want to continue my development and push for further honours in the next few years."
