Cheltenham Town have agreed a deal for Peterborough United winger Josh Low.
The 29-year-old will sign for two years if he passes a medical, but he will not play against Leicester on Saturday.
Manager Keith Downing told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "We've been interested in Josh all summer because he is the type of player we didn't have.
"We have been crying out for a wide man who goes at people and can get crosses in. He has good presence and the deal with give him stability in his life."
Low started as a junior at Bristol Rovers, but first made an impact when he was 21 at Cardiff City.
After a year at Oldham, Northampton paid 165,000 for him in 2003 and he has stayed in the East Midlands since with spells at Leicester and Peterborough.
Low has played over 250 senior games, but has made only four appearances for Posh since Christmas.
