"I spoke to Paul Farbrace and he's picking from 12 players at the moment, 13 when Tredwell gets back, so he said it would be good to have another bowler on board," added Palladino.
"Playing with Ntini and Mahmood will be a great learning experience.
"And I hope to take the chance to push my way back into the Essex side.
Palladino, who clean-bowled his first two victims during the first day of play against Bangladesh, conceded: "There was a bit of help out there and it was swinging a bit but it was good to get some overs under my belt. And I quite like bowling to lefties when it's swinging."
The East Londoner was not the only Essex paceman to impress against Bangladesh.
Jamaica-born Maurice Chambers took 4-32, while Max Osborne picked up a couple of scalps on his first-class debut.
Mohammed Ashraful top-scored with 58 in his side's all-out total of 231 and by the close, Essex had replied with 83-2 - John Maunders hitting an unbeaten 54.
