Durston has also contributed with the ball |
Wes Durston has signed a full-time deal with Derbyshire after impressing during his initial short-term contract. Durston, 29, was released by Somerset in the summer and signed an FP t20 deal after impressing for the Unicorns. But he will now be available for all competitions after signing until the end of the 2012 season. Head of cricket John Morris said: "The way he's performed in all facets of the game, and his attitude, convinced us he will be an excellent addition." Durston's 117 off 68 balls for the Unicorns in a Clydesdale Bank Pro40 victory over Sussex helped him secure his initial short-term deal at Derbyshire, and scores of 111 and 71 in Twenty20 action have led the county to extend and expand his contract.
