Derbyshire are improving - Morris Derbyshire's head of cricket John Morris believes the county is making progress on and off the field. The club have opened a new 1,800-seater stand at the County Ground, taking the capacity to 4,000. Morris told BBC East Midlands Today: "We're an improving club, we're making profits off the field, albeit small profits, but it's not a deficit. "And we're improving as a playing squad - we're inconsistent but that's what happens with younger players." He added: "What we want to do is improve season by season and show that we're going in the right direction in all forms of the game."
