Jon Lewis took his haul of first-class wickets for the season to 24

Gloucestershire paceman Jon Lewis took a season's best 4-25 to bowl his side to a 134-run victory over Derbyshire.

Starting the day on 5-0 needing another 296 to win at Derby, the home side were bowled out for just 166.

Lewis and Steve Kirby did the early damage, reducing their hosts to 15-4 before hot teenage prospect Chesney Hughes tried to repair things with 75.

But, despite Hughes taking his run aggregate to 331 in six first-class innings, Derbyshire fell well short.

Gloucestershire's fourth win of the season lifts them back up to third in Division Two.
