Morris was appointed in August 2007 |
Derbyshire head of cricket John Morris is likely to be offered a new contract, reports BBC Radio Derby. Morris has just over a year left on his current contract and chairman Don Amott said he is keen to extend the deal as he feels stability will bring success. "If the chairman has said that it's great," said Morris. "I love my job and I love working for Derbyshire. "We've been discussing a new contract. If it is right then we'll certainly stay, there's no problem there." BBC Radio Derby understands the committee is still discussing a possible new contract but is yet to vote on the matter.
