Derbyshire have signed 18-year-old West Indian all-rounder Chesney Hughes on a two-year deal. The Anguillan left hander is a British passport holder and can therefore play for the county without restriction. "Chesney came highly recommended by former Hampshire opening bowler Cardigan Connor," said Derbyshire head of cricket John Morris. "After he played some second-team cricket it was clear he possesses a great deal of ability."
