Morris stays calm after big loss

Derbyshire head of cricket John Morris says there is no need to panic after Sunday night's comprehensive Twenty20 Cup loss to Yorkshire at Chesterfield.

The eight-wicket reverse was Derbyshire's second defeat in a row.

But Morris told BBC Radio Derby: "We have a squad of players we believe in. We won the first two and lost the last two but there is no panic.

"We need another couple of wins back to back. We have time to recover - there are still six games left."

Lancashire are the runaway leaders of the North Division, having won all four of their games - but just two points separate the other five sides.

Derbyshire, who are in second spot, face Lancashire at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
