Derbyshire have agreed new one-year contracts with four players to complete the club's retained list for 2009.

Dan Birch, Ian Hunter and Stephen Stubbings have all signed new deals and fast bowler Atif Sheikh, 17, has been given his first professional agreement.

The club has decided not to extend Wayne White's stay with the Phantoms.

Former Yorkshire leg-spinner Mark Lawson has been registered for next season and will be given the opportunity to earn a full-time deal.

Wavell Hinds, Dom Telo, Chris Rogers, John Sadler, James Pipe, Greg Smith, Tom Lungley, Jonathan Clare and Charl Langeveldt are already under contract for next season.

The club's player of the year Graham Wagg has also recently signed a contract extension until 2010.
