LV COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION TWO, Cardiff: Glamorgan 372 & 7-0 drew with Surrey 303-9 dec Glamorgan 10 pts, Surrey 9 pts Match scorecard
Division Two leaders Glamorgan were forced to settle for a draw against Surrey after rain prevented any play on the final day in Cardiff.
Umpires Michael Gough and David Millns abandoned at lunchtime after persistent morning rain.
Glamorgan took 10 points from the match to extend their advantage at the top of the table and leave them on 126 points at the halfway mark of the season.
Surrey's nine-point haul is not enough to lift them off the bottom.
Glamorgan director of cricket Matthew Maynard: "We played some excellent stuff [before the rain] and fancied our chances, we took the initiative.
"I'm obviously delighted with our Championship form, the biggest thing for me is how the players with little experience have come in and held their hands up.
"There have been major contributions throughout the team, that's the pleasing thing.
"The hardest thing to get in sport is consistency and the confidence is coming in the camp.
"I thought we laid the foundations for that last year, when we proved much harder to beat."
