Sussex needed just 33 minutes of the final day to wrap up a 10-wicket victory over Surrey.

The visitors had not added to their overnight score of 243-9 when Jade Dernbach edged Monty Panesar to slip.

That left Sussex with a victory target of 33, which openers Mike Yardy and Chris Nash successfully negotiated.

Surrey captain Rory Hamilton-Brown left the ground on crutches after being hit on the left foot by a Luke Wright yorker on the third day.

The day's play was only 10 deliveries old when Dernbach's edge found the hands of Yardy to leave Panesar with figures of 2-54.

Captain Yardy (17 not out) and Nash (12 not out) then ensured there were no wobbles as Sussex sealed their second successive Championship victory of the season and inflicted a second defeat on Surrey.

Hamilton-Brown expects to be fit in time for his side's next Championship game against Worcestershire, which begins on Wednesday.

Sussex travel to Gloucestershire but will be without Yardy and Wright, who are to join up with the England squad for the World Twenty20.
