Lincolnshire's final match of the season in the Minor Counties Championship ended in an eight-wicket defeat by Suffolk at Bury St Edmunds. The home side needed just 124 to win after Lincs had been dismissed for 220 in their second innings. Lincs captain Ollie Burford told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We lost a few quick wickets and from then on we never really got back into the game. "We didn't play well enough at the right times and it cost us." A flurry of wickets in the final few overs on day two proved crucial as they slipped from 164-4 to 168-7. The defeat means Lincolnshire have failed to win any of their six three-day matches this season, with three defeats and three draws. Burford admitted: "When things start going wrong for us they tend to go really wrong for us, it's been one of those years."
