Nottinghamshire's hopes of a fourth-day victory were thwarted by rain as they drew with Somerset at Taunton.

Needing a further 149 runs to win from a start of 63-3, the visitors added 62 from 49 balls and lost just one wicket before the match was abandoned.

Andy Caddick had earlier removed Andre Adams for 20 but Samit Patel (42 not out) looked in fine touch.

The draw means Notts lead Division One by one point over Durham, with Somerset a further 10 points behind in third.
